AquaCell
AquaCell is an extract from microalgae Spirulina Platensis. Dominating compounds found in AquaCell are a mix of algal pigments, amino acids and vitamins.
Extract provides nutrients for cell growth as well as protection from exogenous and endogenous oxidative stress.
Activity
Rich in skin health and regeneration promoting amino acids, peptides and polysaccharides.
Contains phycocyanin - a well know protein-pigment complex with strong antioxidant activity.
Stimulates cell proliferation
Over the 72h period 0.5% and 1 % of AquaCell statistically significantly increased the proliferation of dermal fibroblasts.
Moisturising effect
Effect of a serum containing 2% AquaCell on skin hydration was measured using Corneometer® CM 825 4 and 8 hours after application and skin hydration compared to untreated skin area.
Skin hydration increased noticeably 4 hours after application, with lasting benefits beyond 8 hours — demonstrating the moisturising efficacy of AquaCell.
